In this interview, the hierodeacon and iconographer Ilarion Mureșanu (born on February 16, 1942) briefly recounts his own biographical and spiritual itinerary until he arrived in 1962 at Nicula Monastery, where he lived till the present day. Then he talks about the monastic and liturgical life of the Nicula monastery during the communist regime, about the specifics of the monasticism and the difficulties caused by the political authorities, the militia and the security. Then he talks about his interest in painting icons on glass and singing church music, his exhibitions and the tradition of the Nicula monastery of painting icons on glass.
