Old Paintings (VIII)
The author describes how, in the midst of the communist period, the Romanian commoners were undertaking leisure activities on the seaside, especially in the hotels and pubs of Mamaia resort. He also presents the fiddlers playing violin at the parties in the restaurants of Bucharest. The author offers glimpses into daily life, suffocated by communist ideology and how to escape from it.
