Blessed Irmgard from Chiemsee
Celebrated every year, on 16 July, in the Orthodox and Roman Catholic Churches, St. Irmgard lived in the 9th century and was the abbess of the convent in Chiemsee (Bavaria), where she rebuilt the church and restored all the buildings. She was known for her great devotion and caring for the poor. She is the second patron of the wooden church of Traunreut, erected by the Romanian Orthodox Parish there.
