Transylvanian lyric poetry about going to war
This brief anthology includes ten folklore poems about going to war, created in the context of the regimentation of Romanian peasants from northern Transylvania in the Austro-Hungarian royal army and in the First World War. They express the grief left behind by the wars, the depletion of men, especially young ones, in Transylvanian villages. The poems are excerpts from a volume made by Nicolae Bot, edited by Ioana Bot and Anca Sîrbu, issued by Casa Cărţii de Ştiinţă Publishing House in Cluj-Napoca.
