Metropolitan Bartolomeu Anania sermons Stylistics

This study intends a stylistic journey into the sermon text of Metropolitan Bartolomeu Anania. We wanted to visit, of course without ambition of completeness, the verbal resources used by the great Teacher of the contemporary Church in composing his sermons. His literary work has been and will, no doubt, be analyzed again. A stylistic perspective on his homiletic rhetoric was needed, especially since its intrinsic value has long gained positive superlatives. In our observations we adopted the verbal aesthetics - known as literary stylistics - deliberately avoiding simple (and simplifying) inventory of vocabulary or figures of speech, often practiced purely for statistical purpose. The brightness in the words of the memorable Bartolomeu Valeriu Anania would have therefore remain under a scientific sloppy bushel. Even so, his theological ideas, with their unique linguistic garments, were not left out.
