About holiness: the joy of meeting with Archimandrite PLACIDE DESEILLE

We strive to reflect in this article on the holiness of certain spiritual fathers, especially on the subject of the Very Reverend Archimandrite Placide Deseille, founder and abbot of the monastery of "Saint Antony the Great" in France, which belongs to the monastery of Simonos Petra from the Holy Mountain. Already known as one of the most important spiritual figures of the Western Orthodoxy, the "father" is sought out by many pilgrims for the holiness of his life, for his teaching words of great help. Our meditation is based on both personal spiritual feelings of joy for personally knowing him, as well as on several fragments of the Rev. Father`s writings, translated by us to romanian.
